Cyberpunk 2077 Item Upgrading Guide
It is important to upgrade your equipment in order to maximize the potential of your gear. upgrade item allows you to add additional stats to your item's base level value.
Each upgrade template comes with an array of options that can be set up using the edition GUI. These options include the upgrading reference and the chance to upgrade.
Upgrade components
The system for upgrading weapons, armor and other gear in Cyberpunk 2077 has been revamped as part of the 2.0 update. Upgrade components can be found throughout Night City, and the item you want to upgrade must have an upgrade slot. The game will display a preview of the expected stats for the item after upgrading. It will also show the required component or material. If you don't have the required level or resource to upgrade an item the button will read "Blocked."
Weapons and armor can be upgraded as well as some trinkets and gathering tools. Upgrade slots can be filled on any item, granting bonus effects or attributes when the equipment is utilized. These upgrades can be obtained through crafting, purchased from a vendor, or looted or acquired as rewards.

These rerolls are useful in the beginning stages of the game, as you need to build your inventory and dungeon equipment. They are not the best method to boost your character's stats.
